"Saturday, December 11 at the Knitting Factory in Williamsburg, will be a night of covers of Kathleen Hanna songs to benefit the making of Sini Anderson’s documentary, The Kathleen Hanna Project a.k.a. Who Told You Christmas Wasn’t Cool? Songs from Bikini Kill to Le Tigre to the Fakes to Julie Ruin, such as “Rebel Girl,” “Stay Monkey,” and “Carnival” will be performed by bands who have been influenced by Hanna, as well as by her contemporaries such as MEN and Kaia Wilson."
